MTECH MECHANICAL RAISED OVER $85,000 FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION & AWARENESS

Westminster, CO – MTech Mechanical held the third annual Samborski Memorial Clay Shoot on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Kiowa Creek Sporting Clays. MTech donated a total of $86,000 between the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado & Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners.

“The statistics about the suicide rates in the construction industry are very concerning. More than 6,000 industry peers die by suicide annually,” said MTech President, Marco Capitelli. “Our mission is to elevate awareness and provide support and resources to our team members. surrounding mental health and suicide prevention. We will continue Bill’s legacy and support suicide prevention organizations with our annual Samborski Memorial Clay Shoot.”

Over 200 individuals’ were able to participate in this event that included a 15-station clay shooting course. The fun day included breakfast, lunch and multiple raffle drawings that raised over $6,000 the day of the event. Top 3 clay shooting teams were awarded to Saunders Construction, LONG Building Technologies and KM Sales.

As the provider of the 988 crisis hotline and the Colorado Crisis Services hotline in Colorado, RMCP is on the frontline of suicide prevention in our state. We have committed to using a portion of the proceeds raised to fund a new scholarship for our organization – the Bill Samborski Memorial Scholarship – which will fund one of our team members to pursue a professional conference or continuing education in the ever-changing area of suicide prevention. The remaining funds will go directly to answering the call for Coloradans by supporting our 988 initiative.
