What has been your favorite project or role at MTech, and why? Working on the Stanley Hotel. I get to work on a historic building and see nearly every inch of something most people pay a lot to see small pieces of. I love the peaceful drive up the canyon and getting to watch the sunrise on the Rocky Mountains.
What are your major responsibilities in your current position, and what is a typical workday like for you? Installing fixtures, demoing or installing water or waste lines. Often, we’ll do quieter work until the quiet curfew is up at 8:30 then get busy pulling out old pipe or putting in a new layout of the reconfigured bathroom, then at morning break or lunch break we’ll hang out and chat while eating. Then onto the homestretch at the end of the day wrapping up whatever tasks we were working on that day.
What would you say to someone considering joining MTech? If you get the opportunity, I would highly recommend this company! They have been voted one of the top companies to work for in Colorado and it shows. It’s a much more positive atmosphere than some companies I’ve worked at in the same field.
