As part of MTech Mechanical’s 20th Anniversary in 2022, we were fortunate enough to partner with 20 charitable organizations across Colorado throughout the year. Each month, we donated our time, talents and/or goods as well as $2,022 to some incredible organizations across Colorado.

January 2022
Cold Weather Items Drive & Hot Chocolate Bar
Organization: Urban Peak ignites the potential in youth to exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives.
From January 17-31, our teams will be collecting cold weather items (winter coats, hand warmers, waterproof mittens & gloves, base layers, waterproof fleece blankets & sleeping bags) throughout the month of February at both our Westminster office & Denver Metro area jobsites.
We will also be hosting a hot chocolate bar at our Westminster office on January 27th to collect items and raise money to purchase new items!

Super Bowl Week Chili Cookoff

Organization: Wounded Warrior Project
Team Members submitted their best chili recipe in a tasting competition. Suggested donation $5 to taste test & vote! Our winner, David Miller, got to choose where the donations went and he chose the Wounded Warrior project!

Care and Share Food Packing

Organization: Care & Share
Volunteers helped sort and pack food, fill food bags for school kids to enjoy with their families over the weekend, and pick food orders for hunger relief partners.

Organization: Private MTech Service Client
Donation: MTech’s Service Team donated a complete heat pump and labor needed to an individual client who has some serious health issues and is in need of a heating system for the cold winter months. Learn More Here.

Organization: Volunteers of America
Date: Tuesday, March 8th
Event: Meals on Wheels. MTech Volunteers toured the Volunteers of America Kitchen/Warehouse, learned about their mission and then delivered meals following the Meals on Wheels routes.

Organization: Food for Hope
Date: Monday, April 4
Volunteers packed & sorted meals for kids to take home over the weekend. Food for Hope’s mission is to empower and strengthen the future of our communities by providing nutritious food to children in need. Each student enrolled with our program receives nutritional assistance throughout the school year.
May 2022
Organization: Ronald McDonald House Denver
Date: Tuesday, May 3
Event: BBQ Cookout for 50-75 individual family staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House provide temporary housing for out-of-area families needing to be near their hospitalized children at no cost to them.

Organization: Jefferson Academy Foundation
Donation: (2) $1,000 STEM Grants for science, technology, engineering and math activities in the classrooms
The purpose of the Foundation for Jefferson Academy is to provide financial assistance to support the needs, efforts, and mission of Jefferson Academy K-12 Charter School.

Organization: Denver Children’s Home

Event: Kids Field Day & BBQ Lunch
Denver Children’s Home restores hope and health to traumatized children and families through a thorough array of therapeutic, educational, and community-based services.

Organization: Mercy Housing

Event: Property Improvement & BBQ Lunch
Volunteers helped to clean up and refresh a community computer lab at Decatur Place for use by residents in education, employment & enrichment opportunities. Mercy Housing is redefining affordable, low-income housing. They participate in the development, preservation, management and/or financing of affordable, program-enriched housing across the country.

Event: Mobile Blood Drive
Every year at Children’s Hospital Colorado, sick and injured kids receive more than 8,000 units of lifesaving blood products. More than 95% of that blood comes from our Blood Donor Center, thanks to generous people in our community.

Volunteers sorted thousands of donations that will be handed out for the Backpack Bash.

Event: Ironedge Trail Clean Up
Full day of trail improvements on a local trail in Eagle. A 7 hour day, 6 volunteers and 4 miles of trail!

Organization: Colorado Mountain Bike Association
Event: Mountain Bike Ride
Date: September 22nd
Location: Buffalo Creek Trail
Participants contributed to COMBA, which believes outdoor recreation is vital to improving the health, environment and economy of our state. They are committed to being an advocacy voice for mountain bikers, maintaining and building natural surface trails, teaching proper trail use to cyclists, and collaborating with land managers to protect the landscapes where we love to play.

Organization: SpeakUp ReachOut
Event: Suicide Awareness & Prevention Training
Date: Friday, September 15
During Suicide Prevention Month in September, we trained team members in Vital Cog which trains organizations to proactively address the early warning signs of suicide in the workplace. 25% of the entire MTech organization has been trained on suicide prevention & awareness.
Through partnerships with our mountain office, we donated this month to SpeakUp ReachOut which is a group of individuals who are dedicated to providing suicide prevention, intervention and loss support services to those in need. Services offered include: suicide prevention and awareness education, community connection events, and suicide loss support services.

Organization: Food Bank of Larimer County

Our Northern Colorado team will help sort and pack food for their local food bank which is committed to not only providing the day-to-day nutritional assistance to our neighbors in need, but also to help stabilize their lives by providing health and hope, and putting them on a path to self-sufficiency.

Event: Bowling for Breast Cancer at Bowlero Westminster

Hope Lives! adds quality of life to breast cancer patients by offering integrative support services and products that help manage the physical, emotional, social & financial side effects of breast cancer treatment.
November 2022
Organization: Riverdale Animal Shelter
Event: Animal Toy Making / Supply Drive
Date: Thursday, November 10
Our team members made toys and comfort items for the animals at our local animal shelter. We also were able to meet some animal ambassadors! Riverdale Animal Shelter provides sheltering services for the cities of Brighton, Commerce City, Federal Heights, Northglenn, and Thornton, the towns of Bennett, Hudson, and Lochbuie, as well as Unincorporated Adams County.

Hope & Home has been a long-time partner of MTech and we are excited to partner again for our annual Angel Tree. With the help of our amazing team members, we were able to donate gifts to over 50 children in foster care as well as donate $2,022 to the organization!

Donation: Plumbing Repairs
Date: November 30 – December 1
Sun Valley Youth Center was in need of some dire plumbing repairs to their Denver group home/staff office facility. Our service team was able to provide these repairs at no cost to the organization!
