Impacting Communities Through Service: Supporting the Denver Firefighters Museum

Giving back can take many forms. At MTech, sometimes the most meaningful way we can support our community is by doing what we do every day.

Recently, MTech’s Service team had the opportunity to support the Denver Firefighters Museum with the installation of a new evaporative cooler. As a nonprofit dedicated to preserving Denver’s firefighting history and educating the community about fire safety, the Denver Firefighters Museum relies on support from the community to continue its mission. When MTech learned about the facility’s need, our teams saw an opportunity to help restore a comfortable and safe environment for visitors and staff. Excluding the cost of the new evaporative cooler itself, MTech donated all labor and materials for this replacement.

The project included coordinating a crane pick to remove the Museum’s existing rooftop equipment and set the new evaporative cooler, connecting it to the building’s existing systems, and completing startup and testing to ensure everything was operating properly.

The effort is part of a longstanding tradition at MTech of supporting nonprofit organizations not only through financial contributions and volunteerism, but also through our trade. By contributing equipment, materials, labor and expertise when opportunities arise, our teams can help organizations direct more of their resources toward the people and missions they serve.

For the Denver Firefighters Museum, the result is improved comfort and efficiency. For our team, it’s another reminder that the skills we bring to our customers every day can make an impact well beyond our projects.
