What do you enjoy about working at MTech? The culture, the people, the projects, the support
What has been your favorite project or role at MTech, and why? I loved being on site at NREL as a Project Engineer, it was a great learning opportunity to grow my system knowledge and build relationships with field team members! It has been my favorite role to date!
What are your major responsibilities in your current position, and what is a typical workday like for you? My major responsibilities are hiring and training project engineers (PEs) in our operations group. I also am responsible for ensuring projects are supported properly, working with PEs on career path planning and tracking and then I also support our accounting team with some tasks as well. A typical day for me can vary from supporting actual projects to interviewing potential candidates to training new hires.
What would you say to someone considering joining MTech? If you are looking for a supportive and challenging work environment, this is the place for you. Even though we have a lot of employees, we still have a small company feel. You are not just a number at MTech, you can walk into any executive’s office with questions or even just to chat, at any time. Our slogan is One Team, All In, and that is truly felt throughout the company.
Tyler Van Domelen, Project Manager

What do you enjoy about working at MTech? Freedom to manage myself and my projects in the style that best works for me.
What has been your favorite project or role at MTech, and why? My favorite project was 1776 Curtis (The Quincy). We had a great field team on that project, and I had the opportunity to work onsite with them for the duration of the project.
What are your major responsibilities in your current position, and what is a typical workday like for you? As a Project Manager, my role is to oversee the life cycle of a construction project from initial design through final commissioning and signoff. My typical work week is split between the office and my respective jobsites. It’s a great combination of field coordination on the jobsite and managing the logistics/financials from our main office. Prior to becoming a project manager, I was a project engineer at MTech.
What would you say to someone considering joining MTech? The construction industry can be a demanding field, but I enjoy the freedom MTech provides me so that I can manage my work and my projects in the manner that best suites my personal style.

Hobbies outside of work: Golf, fishing (favorite being offshore), home improvements, camping, and cooking.
What do you enjoy about working at MTech? The camaraderie that exists amongst the folks that work here. I also enjoy the problem solving aspect of being a manager, working through problems with my team to reach a common solution.
What is the best advice you have received at MTech? I started as a second year apprentice with MTech and have worked my way up through all positions. The best advice I have received here is the saying “it’s not about what you know, it’s about who you know.” If I have a question, I know the answer is usually only a phone call away.
What has been your favorite project or role at MTech, and why? I’ve been on several very exciting projects however, McGregor Square was in the top 5. I think what made it so exciting was the overall size – we built a city block in right around a year.
What are your major responsibilities in your current position, and what is a typical workday like for you? My major responsibilities include leading the field team and working on our CAD-to-Fabrication process. My typical day has a ton of moving parts and typically new challenges every day – I enjoy being busy and working through hurdles.
What would you say to someone considering joining MTech? MTech has been the one company that I really feel at home with. I have made some great friends along the way, and have been rewarded for my hard work. MTech is extremely equal opportunity oriented so if you’re a hard working and driven individual you can take your career here a long, long way.
Molly Cape, Marketing Manager

What do you enjoy about working at MTech? The culture, the people, being able to create my own path and be a part of some amazing initiatives we have created!
What has been your favorite project or role at MTech, and why? My role right now is my favorite. I get to work with so many different departments and team members on company-wide initiatives that drive our incredible culture. I really love overseeing our community engagement strategy as well as chair our annual Samborski Memorial Clay Shoot (visit www.mtechg.com/clayshoot to learn more!). I also love visiting jobsites, interacting with and learning from our field team members.
What are your major responsibilities in your current position, and what is a typical workday like for you? There are no typical work days for me, which is what I love about it! At MTech, I started as a coordinator for preconstruction focused on proposals. Now I oversee all Marketing Communications within the organization from our website to maintaining our brand to various initiatives with HR/Training such as mental health month or inclusion week.
What would you say to someone considering joining MTech? The opportunities are endless here! If you are looking for a long-term career, this is a great place to learn, grow, change and adapt to our mutual needs. We are always looking to the future and making a good place to work – GREAT!
Matthew Moralez, Plumbing Service Field Manager

Hobbies outside of work: Playing the drums & acoustic guitar, wood & metal working, serving in my church, community service & outreach.
What do you enjoy about working at MTech? The culture is leisurely and less of a “big brother’’ atmosphere – the honor system is often used and you are trusted in making decisions. Most team members & leaders have a complete view of the company when decisions being are made.
What is the best advice you have received? Our former EVP for Service explained to me one day that here at MTech “we do things in this order… safety, high quality and then efficiently. It really has stuck with me since that day.
What has been your favorite role at MTech, and why? I enjoy where I am now, leadership and training for the up-and-coming apprentice crew. Helping the journeyman on our team to be successful in every situation is the best part for me.
What would you say to someone considering joining MTech? MTech has a considerable amount of training with room to grow. The culture speaks for itself and our leadership care about us as individuals. I also believe we offer highly competitive pay.
Jason Marsh, Sheet Metal Superintendent

What do you enjoy about working at MTech? I enjoy being part of a team and overcoming obstacles to achieve a common goal.
What has been your favorite project or role at MTech, and why? Village Center Station II was my favorite project because the project team worked together to develop a great install sequence to help everyone be successful. Having the general contractor value our input and incorporate it into the schedule allowed us to be very successful.
What are your major responsibilities in your current position, and what is a typical workday like for you? I am responsible for providing all materials and information to our field team to build a project. I need to remove all possible roadblocks from our teams for installation. A normal day for myself starts with stretch and flex with our field team and then a stand-up meeting to talk about everything we are trying to accomplish that day. We talk about material needs and constraints that are slowing down our efficiency. I then work to remove the constraints as quickly as possible to keep our field teams efficient.
What would you say to someone considering joining MTech? If you are looking for a career, and not just another job, consider working for MTech. MTech is a company that is truly invested in training our workforce and building people for a long career with the company.

Where does MTech have offices and how do I know if positions are open in those offices?
MTech’s main office is located in Westminster, Colorado. We also have satellite offices in Colorado Springs, Loveland, and Eagle. Our careers site will indicate where the job opening is located.
