Shaping New Possibilities: Supporting the Chanda Center for Health Expansion

MTech team members joined the Chanda Center for Health and fellow project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of its latest expansion, marking an exciting milestone in the organization’s Let’s Build… Again! capital campaign.

Founded by Chanda Hinton, the Center provides accessible, integrative healthcare for individuals living with long-term physical disabilities. From physical therapy and primary care to acupuncture, massage, and behavioral health, the Center brings a wide range of services together under one roof, helping individuals take charge of their health and live more independently.

The expansion will transform approximately 6,000 square feet of existing space into additional treatment areas and an adaptive gym, doubling the center’s current space, creating more opportunities for individuals to access movement and wellness services designed for people living with disabilities.

Coming Together for a Shared Purpose

MTech has a history with the Chanda Center, having supported its original facility renovation. Now, we’re excited to return for the next phase, once again partnering with Hensel Phelps.

Our current scope includes new rooftop air-handling equipment and mechanical and plumbing systems to support the expanded therapy gym, offices, and treatment rooms.

Together with our industry partners, MTech has committed more than $130,000 in donated materials and fees to help bring this expansion to life. We’re grateful to the vendors who have joined us in supporting this effort:

  • CFM Company: Air distribution equipment
  • Trane: Rooftop air handlers
  • Rampart Supply: Plumbing fixtures and equipment
  • Hercules Industries: Spiral ductwork
  • Reece, TM Sales, Charlotte Pipe, and Viega: Pipe and fittings
  • CMI Insulation: Insulation
  • MTech Mechanical: Rectangular ductwork and fees

Each contribution helps reduce project costs, allowing more resources to support the Center’s mission and the individuals they serve.

Making a Difference Beyond the Jobsite

At MTech, some of our most meaningful projects are those where our skills can make a difference beyond the work itself. This expansion is one of those opportunities.

We’re proud to have a role in expanding the Chanda Center for Health, supporting greater independence, community involvement, and improved wellness for people living with long-term physical disabilities.
